Jabulani, Greater Kruger Park

Jabulani was built to help look after a herd of rescued elephants and has led to the establishment of South Africa’s first dedicated elephant orphanage, alongside the Jabulani elephant homestead, called HERD (Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation & Development).

Today the Relais & Châteaux Jabulani lodge is a marriage of conservation and hospitality, a place to meet magnificent wildlife, rest deeply, wine and dine under open skies, enjoy sundowners with elephants, and reconnect with nature. Each spacious suite is complimented by a private deck and plunge pool.

Guests can watch the rescued elephants during their midday swim or while they forage in the wilderness, and enjoy other experiences such as day and night game drives, bush walks, photography safaris, bird-watching, helicopter flights, hot air balloon rides, and spending time at our luxury bush spa.
